Barbara Purdy is an Interior Designer, a business owner and a long-time environmental activist. She has years of professional experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors in event and training program planning and promotion for organizations such as Heritage Canada and The Skills Training Council Lanark and has sat on several boards and as a volunteer for organizations such as CCAMU, OCAMU, Lanark Community Mental Health, Heritage Canada, Skills Training Council Lanark and for Green Party Candidate Stephen Kotze's campaign to name a few. Barb is currently the Deputy Chair of the Carleton Place Environmental Advisory Committee and on CNL’s Compost Working Group. She is an avid organic gardener and has a deep passion for sustainability, zero waste, and is a firm believer in the degrowth movement.
