Event Greening

Do you want to make your events more sustainable but aren’t sure where to begin?

CNL would like to help you make your next event greener by providing tips on actions you can take to lessen your impact.

Climate Network Lanark at Stewart Park Festival

CNL is interested in providing resources and tips to help you make your next event more sustainable.

Here is why CNL is looking at this initiative. We realize that event organizers and businesses are interested in doing their part to be more sustainable.  It is the right thing to do and here are some of the benefits as to why:

  • Improve your reputation and brand - being more sustainable attracts other individuals and companies who share this philosophy. Your sponsors and the media are interested in hearing about your efforts.

  • Save Money- reducing, reusing, and recycling actually reduces the costs of your event.

  • Attract more people- supporting green events appeals to more people.

The goal of Green Events includes the following:

  • Help businesses and event organizers attract more attendees

  • Reduce costs and impact of waste removal services

  • Provide valuable resources to help with greening your event

  • Increased media coverage by promoting your event and sharing your story
