Climate Concierge

Just as a hotel concierge provides guidance to the best things in town, the Climate Concierge Project provides guidance to the best ways to cut greenhouse gases in your home or small business.

The Climate Concierge Pilot Project knits community members who own single-family homes and small businesses with resources, information, and expertise that is specific to Lanark County.

At its core, it connects community members to other community members providing motivation, leading-edge knowledge, peer support, and connections to the specific trade and supplier expertise in our particular communities. The net result is home and business owners who can make the best decisions with confidence.

Why Retrofit?

Investing in creating a healthy energy environment in your home (or building) lowers your energy costs, increases the value of your home, reduces maintenance requirements, creates a less drafty and more comfortable space, and reduces your greenhouse gas emissions.

Since December 2022, we’ve been running a pre-pilot, the first Almonte Cluster to great success. All the members from that group are offering help and guidance to newcomers in the program.

The pilot program consists of groups in Perth, Lanark Village, Almonte, and a Virtual Group, with 8-10 members in each one.

The current community clusters will run from summer 2023 to February 2024.
