Cathie Green's professional history started in the nonprofit sector in San Francisco's theatre community and moved to the public sector in B.C. where she worked for the Ministry of Women's Equality for over a decade. Cathie says that being raised in an activist and musical household, her work over the years in the arts, social justice, and community development has felt like a natural evolution for her. When she moved to Ontario in 2008 she shifted to municipal services and found her niche in waste management. Cathie retired from full-time municipal work in May 2022 and now contracts part-time as a consultant for the Continuous Improvement Fund, providing supportive consultation to municipalities across the province. "I am pleased to be able to act as a resource person to CNL on topics of municipal waste management and the move to EPR, which is a move toward sustainability."
