Doreen’s environmental passions focus on water quality, watersheds and wetland conservation. She has been a member and contributor to numerous organizations at both a local and national level – Mississippi Lakes Association, Lake Networking Group, Water Rangers, Source Water Protection, Watersheds Canada, Federation of Cottagers Association, DataStream, Eastern Ontario Model Forest, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Invasive Species Center, Canadian Marine Advisory Council, Ontario Invasive Plant Council, Decibel Coalition, Safe and Quiet Lakes and Mississippi Valley Field Naturalists.

Doreen joined CNL to further her contributions toward reducing GHG emissions, to increase awareness as to how climate change impacts our waterways and water quality, and to educate others on the importance of wetlands as a means to reduce GHGs and positively impact water quality in our community.  Along with her Board position with CNL, she is involved with the Urban Forest River Corridor Advisory Committee of Carleton Place and she sits on the Public Advisory Council for Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority’s implementation of their Watershed Plan.

Doreen Watson-Donald
