Janet, working with her husband Bruce, was a certified organic beef farmer. They converted their farm to organic in 1981, when still dairy farmers, and became certified organic in the mid '90s. Presently, retired Janet continues to volunteer in the community as President of A.C.C. (the Hub/Rebound) and a member of the CNL Board of Directors. Her farm is rented to a local beef farmer and, in addition, houses a composting site for Just Good Compost and materials for a local landscaper. Their farm, founded in 1822, has been continuously farmed by descendants of the same founding Duncan family.
